Russia Vs. France Women's Basketball Final Score: France Advances To Gold Medal Game With 81-64 Win

Colorado State alum Becky Hammon and the Russian women's basketball team are out of gold medal contention at the 2012 London Olympics after falling to France 81-64 in the semifinal round on Thursday.

Hammon scored 13 points to lead Russia but struggled from the field, hitting just four of 14 shots. Alena Danilochkina was the only other Russian in double figures -- she also finished with 13. As a team, Russia shot 35.6% from the field, while the French hit 51.9% of their shots.

France's Edwige Lawson-Wade led all scorers in the game with 18 points.

With the win, France has advanced to the gold medal game, where they will take on the United States.
