Martin Laird has had a tough year at major championships in 2012, missing the cut once and finishing outside of the top 50 twice. But oddsmakers aren't too down on his chances of winning the 2012 U.S. Open. Per Bovada, heading into Thursday's first round, Laird is being given 16/1 odds to win the tournament.

That puts him inside the top 40. At the top is none other than Tiger Woods, at 7/4 odds. Following him are Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald, who come in at 10/3 odds. Reigning champion Keegan Bradley is at 8/1 odds, while British Open champion Ernie Els is being given 12/1 odds.

Here are the top 10 favorites to win the 2012 PGA:

  • Tiger Woods, 7/4
  • Rory McIlroy, 10/3
  • Luke Donald, 10/3
  • Lee Westwood, 4/1
  • Adam Scott, 11/2
  • Jason Dufner, 11/2
  • Justin Rose, 11/2
