The United States added to its Olympic medal count in London on Tuesday, but didn't do enough to catch China. The U.S. has won 70 medals to this point, while China has captured 73. The Chinese also lead the U.S. in gold medals won, 34-30.

In addition to those 30 gold medals, the United States has won 19 silver medals and 21 bronze medals.
