Alex Morgan's goal in the 123rd minute propelled the United States to a 4-3 win over Canada in the Olympic women's soccer semifinal on Monday. With the win, the United States advanced to the gold medal game, where they will face Japan.

The Canadian team, which includes Denver native Chelsea Stewart, never trailed in the game until Morgan's decisive goal. Christine Sinclair scored all three of Canada's goals, breaking a tie and giving her team the lead in each case.
Megan Rapinoe scored the first two goals for the U.S., and it was Abby Wambach's equalizer in the 80th minute that forced overtime.
