Team USA Basketball goes for gold against Spain on Sunday.
The Denver Nuggets might have a gold medal-winning player on the team on Sunday after the United States and Spain settle which basketball team is the best at the 2012 London Summer Olympics. The newly-acquired Andre Iguodala has been a role player for the United States. Iguodala has averaged 13.4 minutes over seven games, scoring 4.9 points and grabbing 3.0 rebounds.
Former Nuggets player Rudy Fernandez has been a key player for Spain, averaging 9.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He's made 11-of-30 shots from beyond on the arc, certainly something Team USA will need to watch out for on Sunday.
Team USA went 5-0 during group play -- the only team to do so -- and then eliminated Australia and Argentina in the bracket round. Spain lost to Russia and Brazil in group play but bounced back in the quarterfinals with a wins over France and Russia during bracket play.
This game will be shown live on NBC at 8 a.m. MT and can also be streamed live through NBCOlympics.com.
