London Olympics 2012: Saturday Schedule Includes Swimming, Women's Basketball And Cycling

With the opening ceremonies of the 2012 London Games now behind us, the events begin in earnest. Several headlining sports get underway Saturday, including swimming, women's basketball, men's gymnastics and beach volleyball.

Rowing and cycling also get underway Saturday, and there are several U.S. athletes representing Colorado who will be involved with those sports during the London Games. Among them: rower Taylor Ritzel and cyclists Timmy Duggan and Taylor Phinney.

The men's road race cycling event is already underway, having gotten started at 3:00 a.m. MT Saturday morning, and a myriad of men's and women's rowing events started as early as 2:30 a.m. MT.
