Center fielder Kyle Von Tungeln and the TCU Horned Frogs are playing for their postseason lives on Saturday when they take on the UCLA Bruins in Game of this best-of-three 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regional. The Horned Frogs lost on Friday night, 6-2, due to a five-run sixth inning by the Bruins.
Von Tungeln, a Colorado Rockies 2012 MLB Draft pick, hit a solo home run in the third inning for TCU, but that was the last run the team had cross home plate. He will be the table-setter once again for TCU when he bats leadoff.
The pitching matchup for this game is expected to pit UCLA's Nick Vander Tuig (9-3, 4.53 ERA) against TCU's Preston Morrison (9-1, 1.98 ERA).
Game time/date: 7:00 p.m. MT, Saturday, June 9, 2012
