2012 FedEx St. Jude Classic, Round 3: Martin Laird Looks For Weekend Comeback

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 FedEx St. Jude Classic continues at TPC Southwind with Round 3 on Saturday, but Colorado St. alum Martin Laird finds himself barely alive in the tournament. He finished the first two rounds at 2-over, which meant he was one of the last players to make the cut. Rory McIlroy leads the tournament at 7-under.

Laird had shot 3-under through the first five holes after starting Friday on Tee No. 10, but he made bogey on 16 and 18 to close out his first nine holes. He bogeyed Hole No. 5 to move back to even-par.

On Saturday, Laird is one of the early-risers and takes the first tee with Cameron Beckman at 6:27 a.m. MT.

Here are some notable tee times (full listing here):

6:27 a.m. MT - Martin Laird, Cameron Beckman
11:12 a.m. MT - John Merrick, Chad Campbell
11:21 a.m. MT - Jeff Maggert, Kevin Stadler
11:30 a.m. MT - Rory McIlroy, J.B. Holmes

CBS' TV coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. MT and lasts until 4:00 p.m. MT. Sirius XM radio begins at 10:00 a.m. MT and goes until 4:00 p.m. MT.
