2012 College World Series Scores: Kent St. Leads Florida 5-1 In The 5th

The Florida Gators entered the 2012 College World Series as one of the favorites to win it all, but so far the journey has been a difficult one. After dropping their Series-opener against South Carolina, the Gators are in a must-win situation against Kent State on Monday. Kent State leads 5-1 in the fifth inning and has not trailed in the game. The loser is eliminated from the College World Series.

The Golden Flashes got off to a fast start, scoring one run in the first and three in the second to build a 4-0 lead. Florida picked up a run in the third but Kent State answered in the fourth to push its lead back to four runs.
