The Arkansas Razorbakcs have harshed the buzz the Kent St. Golden Flashes had entering the 2012 College World Series. The Razorbacks have opened up a 2-0 lead after four full innings of play.

Kent State starting pitcher David Starmn walked three of the first four batters he faced in the first inning and then saw right fielder Brian Anderson pick up an RBI single for the first run of the game. Bo Bigham then hit into a double play to end the inning.

In the second inning, catcher Jake Wise blistered a ball over the left field wall for a home run and the 2-0 lead. Arkansas starting pitcher D.J. Baxendale has been outstanding through four innings, striking out three. He has allowed only one baserunner, a result of shortstop Tim Carver committing an error to start the third inning.
