2012 US Open Leaderboard Update: Olympic Club Continues To Play Difficult

Stay connected for news and updates

While the guys at the top of the leaderboard are just preparing to head out to the course, there has been quite a lot of action from the rest of the pack. As it has the first two days, The Olympic Club continues to play incredibly difficult, with the heat wave in the Bay Area only making the course even more challenging.

The low score of the day so far came from Casey Wittenberg, who shot a 67. Wittenberg made a significant move up the leaderboard, as he now sits at +5, which is just six strokes behind Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk and David Toms. Lee Westwood is currently shooting -1 through six holes, and now is just five strokes behind the leaders.

Woods and Furyk are set to tee off a little after 4 p.m.. It will be interesting to see if the golfers that are still waiting to tee off benefit as the temperatures start to cool off heading into the evening.
