2012 US Open Odds: Tiger Woods Overwhelming Favorite

Stay connected for news and updates

Tiger Woods hasn't won a major since 2008, but his reputation, and his victory two weekends ago at the Memorial Tournament, has made him the heavy favorite heading into this week's U.S. Open in San Francisco. Woods checks in as a 6/1 favorite, which is far ahead of Rory McIlroy, the reigning champ who is tabbed as having 12/1 odds of repeating.

Colorado State graduate Martin Laird has 80/1 odds, which ties them with Ian Poulter, Geoff Ogilvy, Bill Haas, Francesco Molianri and K.J. Choi.

Here are the top ten favorites heading into the week (via OddsShark):

  • Tiger Woods 6/1
  • Rory McIlroy 12/1
  • Lee Westwood 12/1
  • Luke Donald 14/1
  • Phil Mickelson 18/1
  • Jason Dufner 25/1
  • Dustin Johnson 25/1
  • Justin Rose 28/1
  • Matt Kuchar 30/1
  • Rickie Fowler 33/1
