2012 Kentucky Derby Prediction: Trinniberg Is A Long Shot, But Why Not?

Stay connected for news and updates

The 2012 Kentucky Derby is just a few hours away and that means it's time to make last minute predictions on which of the 20 horses will win the first race of the Triple Crown. Bodemeister and Union Rags appear to be the favorite, but there's no fun in picking heavily-favored horses to win it all.

I could go for one of the horses with the worst odds, say Liaison at 65/1, but then I'm almost sure that I'll be wrong. So, based on reading this article and middling odds (39-1), I am choosing Trinniberg. Over at SB Nation, Matt Gardner breaks down his picks and predictions for the Derby and he certainly foresees Trinniberg making an impact during this race, one way or another.
