French Open Results 2012: Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer Move On To Round 2

First round action continued on Monday with a couple of big names hitting the court -- No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic handled Potito Starace in straight sets to move on and No. 3 Roger Federer took care of his opponent in three sets as well.

No. 7 Tomas Berdych also advanced in straight sets, as did American John Isner.

Over on the women's side, the biggest upset of the day was Sofia Arvidsson's defeat of No. 17 Roberta Vinci. Top 10 seeds like No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska and No. 8 Marion Bartoli advanced with ease.

First round tournament play continues Tuesday.
