Stage 13, which spans 121 kilometers, is set to get underway on Friday. This stage will take the cyclists from Savona to Cervere. Some additional information on the nature of this stage:
The Alps are beckoning. Starting Saturday, the climbers will be able to do their thing in the high mountains. Today it’s one more opportunity for the sprinters. Because even though the stage moves inland, it’s still on reasonable flat terrain. Besides, it’s only 121 kilometres, so it’s a very short stage.
