Peter Sagan's string of stage victories in the 2012 Tour of California ended on Thursday when David Zabriskie (Garmin-Barracuda) emerged to take the Stage 5 win. Sagan finished three minutes and 27 seconds behind Zabriskie, in 52nd place.

Zabriskie wasn't the only member of Garmin-Barracuda to have a good showing on Thursday: Andrew Talansky finished fifth and Tom Danielson finished ninth. Here is the complete Stage 5 top 10:
