2012 Players Championship Leaderboard: Martin Laird Finishes Front 9 In Sole Possession Of Lead

Martin Laird continues to stay atop the leaderboard at the 2012 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. He entered the day tied with Ian Poulter at 7-under, but he is in sole possession of first place at 9-under after the front nine. Ian Poulter does not tee off until 11:39 a.m. MT.

Laird made birdie on Holes 2 and 5, but he had his first bogey of the tournament on Hole No. 4, taking five strokes on the par-4 hole. He closed out his first nine holes with a birdie on the par-5 ninth hole.

Charlie Wi has made an early charge up the leaderboard with his 6-under round, sitting at 7-under in a tie with Poulter for second place. He made five birdies on the front nine and continued with a birdie on Hole No. 11.
