After Stage 5 of the 2012 Giro d'Italia, Garmin-Barracuda's Ramunas Navardauskas still wears the Maglia Rosa (pink jersey), but he has just a five-second lead over his nearest opponent. That happens to be teammate Robbie Hunter, who finished in fourth-place on Stage 5. Navardauskas' time is stands at 14:45:13.
Also from Garmin, Ryder Hesjedal takes third-place overall with an 11-second gap ahead of him. Christian Vande Velde is the last Garmin racer to place in the top 10, taking eighth place with a 26-second gap ahead of him.
Matthew Harley Goss and Stage 5 winner Mark Cavendish come in at Nos. 4 and 5, respectively.
Stage 6 on Friday represents the first medium mountain stage of the Giro. This one will be a 207 km race from Urbino to Porto Sant'Elpidio.
