Brock Berglund Transfer: Former Colorado HS QB Looking At North Texas, Florida International, According To Report

Former Valor Christian (CO) quarterback Brock Berglund may be close to choosing a new school, having received his release from the Kansas Jayhawks back in January. The North Texas Mean Green or the Florida Int. Golden Panthers appear to be finalists for the quarterback, according to College Football Talk.

According to CFT's reports, Berglund attended a Mean Green practice on Friday and had apparently been in the state on Thursday night (CFT mentions this tweet). His parents would prefer their son head to North Texas since it is closer to their home state of Colorado.

Berglund had a third-degree assault charge dropped, which helped play into his decision to leave the program. New head coach Charlie Weis eventually relented on not releasing Berglund from his scholarship, but with the addition of BYU transfer Jake Heaps and Notre Dame transfer Dayne Crist, there was no point in keeping Berglund around.
