The Denver Pioneers had a rough shooting half, as they hit just 11 of 26 field goal attempts and 3 of 10 three-point attempts. For a solid shooting team like Denver, that's a bit surprising, but it also means there is a good chance they'll be able to bounce back in the second half.

Florida Atlantic, meanwhile, hit 52% of its field goal attempts and made seven of 12 three-point attempts. The Owls also out-rebounded Denver at both ends of the floor.
Unofficially, Greg Gantt leads FAU with 11 points on 4-6 shooting; he's the only Owls player in double figures. Chris Udofia has nine points for Denver, and Brian Stafford has eight.
