The Colorado St. Rams picked up a huge victory over the No. 17 UNLV Rebels on Wednesday night, outscoring Rebels, 40-18, in the second half for the 66-59 win. The win moved the Rams into a tie for fourth place with the TCU Horned Frogs in the Mountain West. TCU lost to the Wyoming Cowboys on Tuesday, falling to 7-6 in conference play, while Colorado State improved to 7-6 with the Wednesday victory.
With just one game remaining, the Rams are two games out of first place, currently occupied by the 9-4 New Mexico Lobos and the San Diego St. Aztecs. UNLV occupies third place with an 8-5 conference record. The Wyoming Cowboys are 6-7 and will play UNLV on Saturday. Depending on how things play out this weekend, there could be several ties to be settled for the conference tournament.

Boise State vs. New Mexico, 2:00 p.m. MT
Colorado State vs. Air Force, 2:00 p.m.
San Diego State vs. TCU, 5:00 p.m.

The Colorado State Rams took a big step on Wednesday night towards securing an NCAA Tournament berth by upsetting No. 17 UNLV 66-59. The Rams trailed 41-26 at the half and came back from a 16-point second half deceit to score the victory. The win lifts the Rams to 18-10 overall and 7-6 in the Mountain West, while UNLV falls to 24-7, 8-5.
Dorian Green scored 14 of his team-high 16 points in the second half to spark the Colorado State victory. Fellow guard Wes Eikmeier was also effective, scoring 11 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Forwards Gary Smith and Will Bell added nine points each in the win.
UNLV was led by guard Oscar Bellfield, who shot 6-of-11 from the field to finish with 17 points.
It was the Rams' 13th straight home victory.
