Air Force's seven-game losing streak cost head coach Jeff Reynolds his job, but tonight against Wyoming, Air Force finally earned a victory. The Falcons got a much needed road win by upending Wyoming 58-53 on Wednesday night. The win improves Air Force to 12-11 overall, while the Cowboys slip to 18-7.
Guard Michael Lyons did it all for Air Force in the win. Lyons was phenomenal: the 6-foot-6 junior hit nine of his 15 shots from the field including 6-of-8 three-pointers to finish with 24 points. Center Taylor Broekhuis went 5-of-9 from the floor to add 12 points. Air Force made 22 field goals to shoot 48 percent from the field, which included eight made three-pointers.
The favored Cowboys were dropped despite a quality performance from center Adam Waddell, who ended the game with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
