Broncos' Mitch Unrein discusses TD catch

Dustin Bradford

Defensive tackle Mitch Unrein discussed his touchdown catch from Peyton Manning following Denver's win over Tampa Bay.

Peyton Manning threw his first ever touchdown to a defensive tackle on Sunday during Denver's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in fact he threw the first ever touchdown to a defensive tackle -- at least on an offensive drive -- in Broncos history. Mitch Unrein was the lucky recipient of the classic 'fat guy touchdown'.

Apparently, the play had been planned in advance, as Unrein mentioned the team had practiced it before. After the game, he talked about it during the press conference, mentioning, "I didn’t know about it this week. We had been practicing it for a little while and I caught everything in practice so that had to build some confidence in the coaches minds. It is a lot harder than it looks. Those wide receivers, there is a lot of pressure on you. It feels like that ball is coming really slow, especially for me."

And, as with any fat guy touchdown, it's always more fun if you watch it for yourself one or fifty times:
