The Colorado State Rams notched a 70-53 victory over the Portland Pilots in the Las Vegas Classic on Saturday night.
Pierce Hornung scored 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Rams, who jumped out to a 16-point lead late in the first half and never looked back. Hornung finished 10-of-14 from the field, and made all four of his free throw attempts.
Kevin Bailey, who is Portland's leading scorer, left the game just 33 seconds in after suffering a broken nose. Ryan Nicholas stepped up with 15 points for the Pilots (6-7), but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome the Rams.
