The Northern Colorado Bears ended their non-conference schedule with a win, 90-62 over Tabor College.

The Northern Colorado Bears finished up their non-conference schedule on Monday night when they took on the Tabor College Blue Jays at Butler-Hancock Hall. They were able to finally earn their second win of the season, and their second win since their opener against Southwest, taking down the Jays 90-62.

Northern Colorado dominated the first frame with a solid defensive performance, outscoring the Jays 41-18. The second half was much closer, but the Jays couldn't pull up the gap as the Bears put up more than 40 again on them.

Paul Garnica was the top player on the court with 15 points and five rebounds for the Bears. Tabor's stats were fairly bad all around the board. Cameron Rust, a starting forward on the Jays, scored zero points. Robbie Samuel and Justin Malan were the top scorers for them with 12 points each. Northern Colorado out-rebounded Tabor 51-32.

The Bears will start up their Big Sky conference play on the road against North Dakota on Friday.
