Nevada vs. Air Force score update: Both offenses come alive, Falcons lead, 31-21

Both offenses came alive in the second quarter as the Air Force Falcons outscored the Nevada Wolf Pack, 21-14, and now lead at halftime, 31-21.

Air Force's rushing attack has not missed a beat despite being without starter Cody Getz. So far, the team has rushed for 261 yards with four players over 40 yards. Wes Cobb is leading all players with 70 yards.

With the rushing game going so well for Air Force, they decided to mix in some play action passing, which resulted in a 46-yard touchdown pass from Connor Dietz to a wide open Dontae Strickland. That touchdown put the Falcons back up on top, 17-7.

Nevada responded, as they did the entire quarter, with a touchdown of its own. Nevada was able to make its way past the Air Force defense by running the ball, scoring on a 3-yard touchdown run by quarterback Cody Fajardo.

Air Force was able to get back on the board again with Strickland's second touchdown of the game. This time, he ran the ball in from 12 yards out. That score put the Falcons up 24-14, but Nevada was able to match that score once again to make it a three-point game.

The Falcons took to the air again on their next drive, and it resulted in a 29-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Hendricks. That gave Air Force a 10-point lead.

Nevada was looking to score a touchdown going into the half, but the Air Force defense came up big and stopped Nevada from getting on the board again. The Falcons' pass rush was able to get to Fajardo and forced him to make some rushed throws.

Air Force coach Troy Calhoun stressed at the half that it is a 60-minute game, and that his team needs to keep playing well if they are going to win.
