The Air Force Falcons are doing just fine without starting running back Cody Getz, as they lead the Nevada Wolf Pack 10-7 after the first quarter. The Falcons got on the scoreboard first when they had to settle for a Parker Herrington 45-yard field goal.
Air Force was inside the 10-yard line and was close to getting a touchdown, but quarterback Connor Dietz lost the ball and had to scramble to recover the fumble back at the 27-yard line.
The Falcons defense was able to force the Wolf Pack offense to punt the ball, but Dietz fumbled the ball on their first play to give it back to Nevada.
This time around, Nevada did not waste this opportunity as they drove down the field running the ball, and scored from 1-yard out on a Cody Fajardo rush.
The Falcons responded in like kind, they drove down 75 yards on 12 plays for a Mike DeWitt 8-yard touchdown run to go up 10-7. Air Force has rushed the ball at will, and has 163 yards so far.
