2012 College hockey schedule: Denver starts league play, Colorado College takes on Cornell

A look around the college hockey schedule here in Colorado as we head into the weekend.

The NHL may have announced today that they will miss regular season games this year, but there's still a lot of great Colorado NCAA hockey action this weekend. The Pioneers open WCHL league action as Michigan Tech comes to Denver while Air Force and Colorado College both head east.

All times Mountain

University of Denver
Friday, October 26 - Michigan Tech at Denver, 7:07 p.m.
Saturday, October 27 - Michigan Tech at Denver, 7:07 p.m.

The No. 5 Pioneers start league play Friday night as they go for their third straight win. The Michigan Tech Huskies are receiving votes in the most recent USCHO.com poll and split their series against No. 1 Minnesota last week.

Air Force
Saturday, October 27 - Air Force at Robert Morris, 5:05 p.m.

Air Force takes on Robert Morris at the Island Sports Complex in Pittsburgh. Robert Morris is 1-1 this season after splitting at Quinnipac last weekend.

Colorado College
Friday, October 26 - Colorado College at Cornell, 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 27 - Colorado College at Cornell, 5:00 p.m.

Colorado College leaves the state for the first time this season on Friday when they head to Ithaca, New York to take on No. 7 Cornell for the first time in history. The No. 19 Tigers are 3-1 after suffering a loss to the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
