Colorado vs. Oregon: Parker Orms day-to-day with concussion

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

Colorado defensive back Parker Orms is uncertain to play this weekend against Oregon, having suffered a concussion against USC.

With the high-powered Oregon Ducks offense coming to town, Colorado will need all hands on deck in its defensive backfield. But with Rivals.com's Adam Munsterteiger reporting that Buffaloes defensive back Parker Orms is day-to-day with a concussion, the Ducks may have an easier time moving the ball through the air.

Orms was injured late in last Saturday's matchup with USC, which the Buffaloes lost, 50-6. Compounding Colorado's problems is a hip pointer injury to fellow defensive back Terrel Smith, who is also questionable for this weekend's matchup.

A junior from Wheat Ridge, Orms has struggled with injuries and personal problems in his college career. As a redshirt freshman, Orms tore his ACL on the third play from scrimmage in the opener against Colorado State. Last season, Orms started just six games, missing seven due to injury and suspension. Colorado was 3-3 in the six games that Parker did manage to start.
