Rapids hope to end 4-game losing streak
The Colorado Rapids will visit Chivas USA Saturday as the Rapids hope to bounce back from a 4-1 loss at the hands of the San Jose Earthquakes on Oct. 6. The Rapids have lost their last four games and will attempt to pull out the win as the season nears its end.
Rapids head coach Oscar Pareja has set the expectation that several of the club's younger players will see time Saturday as the Rapids have already been eliminated from playoff contention. The Rapids will be without goalkeeper Matt Pickens, who is unlikely to play again this season after suffering an abdominal strain. Striker Conor Casey is also not expected to play.
Chivas USA is coming off a 1-1 draw with FC Dallas on Oct. 7, snapping a seven-game losing streak. Chivas, however, is now in the middle of a franchise-record 12-game winless streak.
Saturday's match begins at 8:30 pm MT. The game will be shown on Altitude and will be available to listen to via FM 93.7, AM 1510, and FM 87.7.
