After yet another exciting Super Bowl finish, the television ratings have begun to filter in, and the results appear to accurately reflect the game's dramatic finish. Apparently, a record number of viewers tuned in to see the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots on a key Eli Manning comeback drive late Sunday night:
Super Bowl XLVI was watched by an average of 111.3 million viewers, setting a new viewership record.

Giants 21-17 win in Super Bowl sets viewership record of 111.3 million up a notch from last year.
— Richard Sandomir (@RichSandomir) February 6, 2012
The 2011 Super Bowl between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers held the previous record of 111 million viewers, broken in 2012 by approximately 300,000 viewers.
The Nielsen ratings, released earlier on Monday, reported that the record of 47.9 ( from the 2011 Super Bowl) remains in tact. The 2012 Super Bowl drew a near-record 47.8 rating, but could not muster the extra 0.1 percent of households to tie the one-year-old record.

The Denver Broncos will need to overcome the odds makers once again now that they have 50-1 odds to win the 2013 Super Bowl, according to the MGM sports book in Las Vegas. That has them tied with six other teams that possess those odds. The St. Louis Rams must've received a bit of a boost with the hiring of Jeff Fisher as head coach.
The Indianapolis Colts, though, go from being a two-win team to being 25-1 favorites. There are too many question marks to take that one seriously. Is Peyton Manning going to play for the Colts? Andrew Luck might be a future star, but can the rookie survive since all signs point to him going No. 1 overall to the Colts? Will Chuck Pagano turn things around in his first year as Colts coach?
The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the other teams that has 50-1 odds, while the Oakland Raiders are at 60-1. The San Diego Chargers are 12-1 and sure to disappoint once again. The Jacksonville Jaguars have the worst odds at 150-1

The 2012 Super Bowl, the actual game, failed to beat the ratings for last year's game and for this year's halftime show. The game fell short by two-tenths of a point at beating last year's contest, 47.8 to 47.9. The Madonna halftime show drew a 48.3 rating -- and it wasn't even that good. In case you missed it:
It was kind of awkward to watch. There was an odd mixture of Greek and Egyptian themes to the gimmick at the start of the performance with "Vogue." Then the performance segued into a variety of songs, including Madonna's "Give Me All Your Luvin'." It was OK. M.I.A did flip the bird, which NBC tried to blur out, but picked up on it far too late. Cee Lo Green actually did come out to perform with Madonna, taking part in "Like A Prayer," which ended the performance.
Hey, it was sort of a step up from 2011's Black Eyed Peas performance.

If one were born in the mid-1980s, one of the TV shows that would have been popular during the formative years likely would have been ABC's Full House: the Olsen Twins, Bob Saget, those other people and, of course, John Stamos. He was the cool dude on the show (even if he did have hair like this at one point during the series). And then he went on to some other gigs, most notable ER.
Now, when I think about John Stamos, I'll probably conjure the image of the actor receiving a headbutt because he won't let his wife, girlfriend or whatever label we want to use on the woman have some Dannon Oikos Greek yogurt:
While Stamos is trying to be a bit playful, the woman wants that yogurt. It's so good she'll headbutt Stamos to get some. Well, no one ever said these commercials are supposed to be realistic.

Honda decided to pay homage to Ferris Bueller's Day Off in this advertisement for its new CR-V, which includes Matthew Broderick spending a day much like Ferris did over 25 years ago. This sort of advertisement can be hit-or-miss, though, and it's difficult to live up to expectations in cases like this one.
Broderick has a day that closely parallels Ferris' classic fake sick day, but much of it feels a bit forced. The advertisement is littered with references to the movie from start to finish, and the more subtle instances work better than the direct references where, for example, Broderick is repeating lines verbatim from the original.

The New York Giants have now won two Super Bowls since the 2007 season, which is nothing to scoff at. Since the Giants won during that season, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers each won a Super Bowl. No team was able to be a repeat champion, obviously. But the Giants will try to do that in 2012. If they do, they will become just the eighth franchise to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
The first team to accomplish it was the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls I and II. The Miami Dolphins did it in Super Bowls VII and VIII, the former being the only undefeated Super Bowl Champion (14-0-0). The Pittsburgh Steelers then followed with two sets of back-to-back Super Bowl victories. The first set came in IX and X while XIII and XIV closed out the end of the 1970s Steelers dynasty.
We fast forward to the end of the 1980s when the San Francisco 49ers took XXIII and XXIV, the former a 55-10 destruction of the Denver Broncos. The Dallas Cowboys took XXVII and XXVIII, ending the Buffalo Bills' dynasty of making it to four consecutive Super Bowls and losing all of them.
The Denver Broncos were the next team to do it by winning XXXII and XXXIII. The New England Patriots took home the Lombardi Trophy in XXXVIII and XXIX.
Will the Giants be able to join this list of teams?

Eli Manning has won his second Super Bowl MVP after leading his team to a 21-17 victory. He directed the game-winning drive that saw Ahmad Bradshaw score the game-winning touchdown with just over a minute left in the game. Time and again, Manning was able to complete the throws that he needed to make, including Mario Manningham's "wow" catch (video) that sparked that drive.

Manning was 30-of-40 for 296 yards and one touchdown pass. He won the Super Bowl XLII MVP against the New England Patriots, as well. He completed 19-of-34 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns in that contest.
He is now tied with Tom Brady, who also has two Super Bowl MVPs.

Super Bowl 2012 has concluded and the New York Giants have won their fourth Super Bowl, defeating the New England Patriots, 21-17. Ahmad Bradshaw had the winning score on a six-yard run.
Follow @sbndenver on Twitter | Like SB Nation Denver on Facebook
Eli Manning led that scoring drive on nine plays for 88 yards, taking nearly three minutes off the clock. Mario Manningham caught a deep pass early in the drive by showing his adept ability to control his body on a catch at the sidelines. Eventually it made its way down to the six-yard line. Bradshaw attempted to stop before he went into the score to burn off time, but he was unable to stop his momentum from going in.
Tom Brady had 57 seconds to lead a comeback, but he got his team to the 49-yard line and no farther. He threw a Hail Mary into the end zone and saw it drop into the end zone.
Brady's interception at the start of the fourth quarter looked to establish the tone of the rest of the game, but the Giants were unable to make anything of the drive. Instead, we can see that interception as the embodiment of the false hope we saw in the quarter. Around the middle of the quarter, Brady looked like he was putting together a scoring drive, but he was unable to score on 3rd-and-11.

In a Super Bowl that hasn't had many "wow" moments, New York Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham finally provided one in the closing minutes of the game. He made a remarkable catch right on the border between the white of the sideline and the field of play. Watching it in real time the play is amazing. Watch it in slow-mo and it's all the more remarkable because you can see how fine-tuned he was to have possession and get both feet in bound before he went out.

If the Giants win this game (they scored at the end of the drive), this is almost as good as David Tyree's catch from Super Bowl XLII. This was the play that cut off a huge chunk of yardage and let Eli Manning show why he is a playoff hero.

The New England Patriots and the New York Giants will enter the fourth quarter in a tightly contested game. The Patriots hold just a 17-15 lead with 15 minutes to go in regulation.

The Patriots scored in not even four full minutes of play during the start of the third quarter. Tom Brady led an eight-play, 79-yard drive that ended with Aaron Hernandez catching a 12-yard touchdown pass.
Lawrence Tynes kicked a field goal to cut the score to 17-12, but it Tynes made it close one. It hugged the left upright as it went through. Then with about 70 seconds left in the third quarter, Eli Manning and the Giants were inside the Patriots' 20-yard line. However, on 3rd-and-8, Manning was unable to convert. Tynes kicked another field goal to make it a two-point game.

The New England Patriots breathed a bit of life into Super Bowl 2012 with its final drive of the first half by scoring a touchdown and taking a 10-9 lead into the second half. Brady directed a 14-play, 96-yard drive that culminated in Danny Woodhead for a four-yard touchdown pass.
Follow @sbndenver on Twitter | Like SB Nation Denver on Facebook
That touchdown accounted for 10 straight points by the Patriots' offense. The Giants scored the first nine points on a Tom Brady safety and a Victor Cruz touchdown catch. The Giants had dominated most of the first half and still hold an advantage in offensive plays run, 35-27.
The Giatns have possessed the ball for nearly minutes in the first half, which is something the Patriots will want to change in the second half. The Patriots will receive the ball to start the second half.

The New York Giants entered the second quarter against the New England Patriots with 9-0.But just seconds into the second quarter it turned into a 9-3 lead.
The first scoring play of the game was a safety on Tom Brady because he intentionally grounded a ball while under pressure inside the pocket and end zone. Victor Cruz caught a two-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning nearly six minutes later in the quarter.

The Patriots had run just one offensive play by the time the Giants took the 9-0 lead. This was not, we can guess, the game plan Bill Belichick had for the Patriots. They were threatening to score at the start of the second quarter, but ultimately they needed to settle for a Stephen Gostkowski field goal.

The 2012 Super Bowl saw its first score of the game come on a safety of Tom Brady. As we see in the play below, Brady drops back and keeps looking for a receiver. However, he stays in the pocket and throws a deep bomb down the middle of the field to where no one is located. But he is under pressure when he makes the throw., keep that in mind.
That play is called a safety because he was under pressure n the pocket when he launched the ball down the field. Had he not been under pressure, Brady would not have been tagged with safety.
Does this play sound somewhat familiar to Broncos fans? The Broncos and the Vikings were involved in a similar play back in December. Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder threw the ball to the sideline while still in the pocket. It wasn't called intentional grounding because, as the referee explained, Ponder wasn't under pressure.

As Super Bowl XLVI nears kickoff, fans across the world are making their final predictions for the big game. However, most of the NFL's prominent writers have already announced who they think will be celebrating with the Lombardi trophy later tonight.
The writers over at CBSSports.com seem to believe that the New York Giants will be celebrating in Indianapolis, as seven of the nine writers predict them to win. According to Pete Prisco, the Giants hold the advantage at two of the key spots on the field:
It's a tribute to Brady that the Patriots are here, but in watching him play the Giants in the past, he isn't the same Brady when he faces that the New York defense. Like I wrote this week, the Giants seem to be in his head. In the Giants' victory this season in Foxboro, Mass., Brady looked ordinary.
That's the big edge for the Giants. They have the pass rushers. They don't fear Brady. They rattle him. That's why the Giants will beat the Patriots again in a Super Bowl.
The NFL is all about quarterback and pass rushers -- and the Giants will show on Sunday.
Final score: Giants, 31-24
It should come as no surprise that the writers at Pats Pulpit and Big Blue View each expect their respective team to pick up the win tonight. However, the official SB Nation prediction believes that it will be the Patriots that earn the victory:
SBNation.com Prediction: Like plenty of others, I think this is one of those games that comes down to whoever has the ball last. Neither side has a major, game-altering advantage either way. That said, the Patriots have won 10 in a row and I don't see the momentum being stopped right now. Patriots win, 30-27.
The writers at ESPN.com and CNNSI also have made their predictions, with there being a true split among the writers.

New England Patriots offensive tackle Nate Solder could become the 32nd former Colorado Buffalo player to win a Super Bowl ring if New England comes through with a victory on Sunday. As noted by Kyle Ringo of Buffzone.com, only two offensive lineman from Colorado have ever gone on to win a Super Bowl.
Solder, 23, started 13 games for New England in 2011 despite being a rookie. Drafted with the 17th overall pick in the 2011 draft by the Patriots, he ended up being named to the 2011 All-Rookie team after establishing himself on the team.
If he does get a ring on Sunday, Solder will join Matt Lepsis and Tom Ashworth as the only former Colorado offensive lineman to win a Super Bowl in the pros. Lepsis won as a rookie in 1998 with the Denver Broncos and Ashworth won consecutive rings with the Patriots in 2003 and 2004.

Toyota is spending a whole bunch of money to have a 60-second spot in this year's Super Bowl. The company is also essentially "reinventing" every thing that's ever existed, as indicated by the new commercial. Apparently, the people over at Toyota have been very, very busy lately.
As you can tell, Toyota clearly isn't happy with the present versions of blenders, couches and even plants, so they have reinvented them all to better fit an apparently grand vision of a world in which things always have roughly six functions. Oddly enough, though, reinventing the Camry essentially just means making a new car.
After turning babies into time machines, the reinvented Camry should be something other than a four-door sedan that gets good milage, no?

Depending on how the Super Bowl turns out each year and the ability of a person to host a party during the game, the food could be an afterthought or the talk of the party (either for being good or bad). No one wants to have the Super Bowl party with the bad food.
Over at SBNation.com, check out all the recipes they offer to make your Super Bowl party a success. Now, many of the recipes include bacon in them -- because, who doesn't like bacon? Although bacon-wrapped dates aren't exactly my idea of Super Bowl food, it might just be yours.
Of course, even with many of these great recipes, their success depends on how well one can follow instructions. Don't disappoint your guests.

I'm pretty sure that I want a polar bear on my football team after watching Coca-Cola's 2012 Super Bowl ad. It's called the "Catch."
The protagonist polar bowl is thrown a Coke by another polar bear, but the lead one is unable to catch it cleanly and starts to glide across the ice while trying not to drop the bottle. As a result, the polar bear starts juggling the bottle as he collides and knocks down with other polar bears. And then he slides on his chest before finally coming down with the bottle safely in hand. Then we have a pullback scene and see that all the other polar bears are on the ice, defeated.
I still prefer Coke's "Siege" commercial with the fire-breathing dragon from last year.

One year ago, there were serious doubts that the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis would even take place. Things didn't look much better during the early part of the summer when the NFL lockout was in place. But once late July came and both the owners and the players saw the need to get something done, the NFL season was back on. And here we are with the New England Patriots and the New York Giants playing in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. Who will win?
The Patriots are slight favorites by a field goal to defeat the Giants. That's with the awesome firepower Tom Brady has to work with: Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. But Eli Manning has been adept at turning in solid performances throughout the postseason. He has Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham to target. Neither team has a great pass defense and the run defenses are only slightly better.
Will it come down to coaching? Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin have both won Super Bowls, but will the former have something special planned for this game? Or will Tom Coughlin stick with his steady methods and emerge with a second Super Bowl victory?
PREDICTION: GIANTS over PATRIOTS, 35-30

The 2011 NFL season comes to an end on Sunday evening with Super Bowl XLVI. The New England Patriots and the New York Giants will have a rematch of the 2007 season's Super Bowl XLII, which saw the Giants defeat the Patriots, 17-14, and put an end to the Patriots' unbeaten ways.
At stake for the Patriots is a fourth Super Bowl title in seven games. While they lost during the 2007 season as well as in 1985 and 1996, the Patriots took home the Lombardi Trophy during the 2001, 2003 and 2004 seasons. Tom Brady is playing in his fifth Super Bowl, matching John Elway's number appearances.
The Giants are appearing in its fifth Super Bowl all-time and have won three of four so far. In addition to the 2007 season title, the Giants won it all during the 1986 season (defeating John Elway and the Denver Broncos) and the 1990 season (Scott Norwood's wide right field goal attempt).
We could be in for a classic Super Bowl match with these two teams.

The Super Bowl event is a big event for anyone who would want to make or place a bet on even the minutest of details. Take for instance this prop bet (provided by Bovada): "What Color will the Gatorade (or liquid) be that is dumped on the Head Coach of the Winning Super Bowl Team?" And clear/water has 3/2 odds while orange and yellow are at 5/2. If one person is the legal betting kind of person, red comes in at 13/2, green at 15/2 and blue at 10/1.
The Gatorade dump is a tradition, so this isn't something obscure (unlike, say, will Tom Brady's kid be wearing a baby Patriots jersey). The Giants did dump Gatorade on Bill Parcells when they defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI during the 1986 season. But then there's a dispute with the Chicago Bears over where the tradition started.
But that's beside the point on Sunday. What color will the Gatorade be?

I'm not entirely sure what's so new about the new Acura NSX, but Acura certainly wanted to promote it greatly during the Super Bowl. They got Jerry Seinfeld to do a nearly two-minute-long commercial in which he tries to bribe, cajole, surrender the first person to get the new NSX (Seinfeld wants to be the first, but he's No. 2).
OK, so Yev Kassem, the Soup Nazi, makes an appearance, but this time he does want to give soup. Alien autopsy, eh. Seinfeld wanting to provide dirty limericks? Well, we don't actually hear any, making that a waste of a joke.
And then the end comes. A zip line transportation in New York City for Seinfeld is about to be given to the guy who has the NSX. The key is about to be handed over to Seinfeld until Jay Leno, noted automobile collector, comes in wearing a flying squirrel jet pack. He gets the car keys
As Seinfeld and the extraterrestrial biological entity each say with contempt, "Leno." Guess I'll just hit the Internet to find out what's so new about this car.

There's been no movement on the odds line for the 2012 Super Bowl in the final days leading up to the event. The New England Patriots opened as 3.5 point favorites and after that the lines settled at either 2.5 to 3 points, according to our odds partner Odds Shark. This is going to be a close game, and when the two teams met in Super Bowl XLII, the Giants pulled out a 17-14 victory.
The over/under for the game opened at 55 points and has moved down to 53.5 to 54 points, depending on the odds maker. Both teams certainly have the strong aerial attacks that will go up against passing defenses that are near the bottom of the league in terms of yards allowed per game. But the defenders will certainly be pumped up to do even better than their best in the big game.

With the numerous thrilling comebacks and jaw-dropping plays in clutch situations, it should come as no surprise that Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow has been announced as the winner of the 2011 GMC Never Say Never Award. According to Patrick Smyth of the Denver Broncos, Tebow beat out signature moments from Clay Matthews, Joe Flacco, Tony Romo and Jason Campbell to win the award:
@psmyth12: QB
@TimTebow wins Never Say Never Award. Broncos tied NFL rec. with 6 wins when not leading entering 4th qtr.
The signature moment that earned Tebow the award was the signature comeback against the Chicago Bears in week 14. With the Broncos trailing 10-0 with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, Tebow led a TD drive and a drive for the game-tying field goal at the end of regulation. Tebow then led a drive in overtime that setup Matt Prater for the game-winning field goal.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller was named the 2011 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year on Saturday evening. Miller defeated fellow linebacker Aldon Smith of the San Francisco 49ers:
LB @MillerLite40 named AP Def. Rookie of the Year. 2nd Bronco ever to win award (LB Mike Croel, '91).
— Patrick Smyth (@psmyth12) February 4, 2012
Miller was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick last April and went on to pick up 11.5 sacks, 64 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. He was slowed late in the season by an injured thumb that required a cast on his right hand. Aldon Smith finished the season with 14 sacks, leading all rookies.
Miller took 39 of 50 votes for the award. Smith took the other 11 votes.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker was likely just scratching the surface on his potential as a rookie. He be out there next season looking for bigger and better things.

After beginning the season 2-5, few people expected that the Denver Broncos would be on their way to the playoffs. However, the Broncos rallied behind a punishing defense and a few memorable moments from Tim Tebow, to win the AFC West and advance to the postseason. According to Patrick Smyth of the Denver Broncos, this remarkable turnaround was enough to help head coach John Fox finish third in the Coach of the Year voting:
@psmyth12: Broncos HC John Fox finishes 3rd in voting for AP Coach of the Year. Helped team to 5-win improvement in 1st year.
In his first season in the Mile High City, Fox made an immediate impact, as the Broncos won five more games then they had in the previous season. Fox and his coaching staff did an excellent job building an aggressive defense and an offense perfectly suited for the skill set of Tebow. Fox finished by Jim Harbaugh of the San Francisco 49ers and Mike McCarthy of the Green Bay Packers.

Though the Denver Broncos lost in the second round of the 2012 NFL Playoffs to the New England Patriots, the season has yet to end for linebacker Von Miller. Miller participated in the 2012 Pro Bowl last week in Hawaii, and now he's up for a number of awards at the NFL's inaugural "NFL Honors" awards show. Miller will be up for the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year Award, as well as the overall Pepsi Rookie of the Year Award.
The NFL will also be handing out other of its most prestigious awards, including the AP Player of the Year, the AP Coach of the Year and the AP Comeback Player of the Year. Denver's John Fox figures to be in the running for the AP's award as the top coach in the NFL in 2011.

After last year's wildly popular mini-Darth Vader commercial for the Super Bowl, Volkswagen is back at it again with another Star Wars-inspired ad for the 46th edition of the big game. This time an out-of-shape dog wants to chase after a car, but it is unable to get through the dog flap. The dog works out for months and finally gets through the hole in the door. Then it pulls back for the full reveal:
It's a commercial being shown at the Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine. BoShek, Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba are debating whether this commercial or last year's one was better. But, of course, Darth Vader is in the bar as well and he uses Force Choke on Dr. Evazan because he is not in favor of the Vader kid.
It's pretty good, but Vader on Tatooine? Let's just say this commercial isn't part of the Star Wars canon.

For the second time in five seasons, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will face off in the Super Bowl. Sure, the stakes are high since it is the Super Bowl, but this year's game won't be as compelling since the New England Patriots are not attempting to finish the season with an undefeated record. Plus, experts aren't exactly thrilled with the Patriots in this game.
Over at CBS Sports, the entire five-person panelist has selected the New York Giants to win this game straight up and by the spread. The line CBS Sports uses for the game is 3.5 points, so this isn't a case of these guys selecting the Giants both times to cover perhaps the Patriots winning in a close game. They see the Giants winning this outright.
Prisco believes the Giants' will be able to handle Tom Brady while Eli Manning will easily handle the Patriots' secondary. We'll see, but Manning has surely shown that he's at his best in the playoffs this season.

Super Bowl 2012 is less than a week away from kicking off in Indianapolis for the 46th edition of the big game, but not much has changed on the line and odds. The New England Patriots are still favored by either 2.5 points or 3 points, according the various lines Odds Shark has provided. When these two teams met in Super Bowl XLII, the Giants won by just a field goal, 17-14. While that game is largely remembered for ending the Patriots' undefeated season as well as for David Tyree's catch, Lawrence Tynes' field goal in the first quarter was quite crucial.
The over/under for this game is set at 55 points, and it certainly could be a shootout between Tom Brady and Eli Manning. Both teams have the offensive weapons the quarterbacks need to succeed, but we shouldn't be writing a high-scoring game into stone yet.

The Super Bowl is days away, and though the Denver Broncos may not have reached the ultimate game, they still have a few former Broncos in the news.
Josh McDaniels, the Broncos' head coach from 2009-2010, is slated to return to his job with the New England Patriots for his second round as the team's offensive coordinator. He is currently serving as an offensive assistant to the AFC champs as they prepare for Super Bowl XLVI.
McDaniels may also bring a familiar face with him to New England. Nolan Nawrocki of Pro Football Weekly recently suggested that McDaniels may lobby for a reunion with former Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. After leading the NFL with 1448 receiving yards in 2010, Lloyd spent only four games with Broncos in 2011 before being traded to the St. Louis Rams.
Lloyd finished the 2011 season with 966 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2012.

Let's face it, tortilla chips are going to be at whatever 2012 Super Bowl event you attend. Salsa can be great, queso dip provides a decent alternative, but a great guacamole can become the star of the show. The Barefoot Contessa -- also known as Ina Garten -- of the Food Network has developed a terrific recipe for guacamole that is both simple and delicious.
If you want to bring something to the Super Bowl party but don't want to spend a lot of time or money, this homemade guacamole is a very reasonable option. The full list of ingredients and the instructions are both here, but if you'd like a quick look at the ingredients they are provided below:
- 4 ripe Hass avocados
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
- 8 dashes hot sauce (recommended: Tabasco)
- 1/2 cup small-diced red onion (1 small onion)
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 medium tomato, seeded, and small-diced
Enjoy the intriguing and potentially explosive matchup between the New England Patriots and New York Giants, and for more coverage on the Super Bowl be sure to check out the links provided below.

Denver Broncos fans are obviously disappointed that the team won't be in the Super Bowl for yet another year since winning it all during the 1997 and 1998 seasons. But there will be a small bit of Colorado in Super Bowl XLVI. Rookie right tackle Nate Solder will be in the game.
Solder, a Buena Vista, CO, native and a product of the Colorado Buffaloes, was drafted by the New England Patriots with the 17th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He's started 13 regular season games and both playoff games. However, his playing time has been seen at both tackle and as the big, blocking tight end.
Injuries to Sebastien Vollmer have thrust Solder into the starting right tackle position, but it appears that Vollmer might be able to play in the game. Even if that happens, Solder will surely see playing time at right tackle at times during the game.
