Hannah Teter enters the 2012 Winter X Games looking for a gold medal for the first time since she took it all in the 2004 Superpipe competition. Her 2011 performance failed to get her out of the elimination round. Her first run (15.33) put her off balance and she was only able to recover for a 67.00 on her second run. That placed her 10th overall, her worst finish on the Superpipe.
But Teter did rebound a couple of months later when she picked up a silver medal in the Superpipe at the 2011 Winter X Europe competition. Her 91.00 score on her second run sealed the silver medal for her.
Will she be able to beat out the likes of Kelly Clark and Gretchen Bleiler? Clark took gold in both the Winter X Games and the European Games in 2011 while Bleiler wasn't at her best in Aspen last year.
