From start to finish the Philadelphia Phillies dominated the Colorado Rockies in a 5-0 victory on Tuesday night. The Rockies are in danger of falling 10-games under .500, but eight games under at the moment.

Kyle Kendrick (6-5, 3.19 ERA) was brilliant against the Rockies, pitching eight shutout innings. He kept the Rockies to four hits and struck out seven batters. David Herndon shut the Rockies down in the bottom of the ninth. The Rockies were 0-for-5 when they did have a runner in scoring position.

Aaron Cook (2-6, 5.34 ERA) allowed four runs, a couple driven in during the first by Chase Utley and Hunter Pence. Ryan Howard followed with a home run in the fourth, and Brian Schneider added one on a sac fly. But then he left before the start of the fifth inning, developing muscle spasms in his neck.

Edgmer Escalona pitched three strong innings of relief, holding the Phillies to two hits. Matt Lindstrom allowed Ryan Howard's a second home run when he pitched the eighth inning.

The Rockies (51-59, 26-28 home) finish this series on Wednesday afternoon at 1:10 p.m. MT. Jason Hammel goes up against Roy Halladay.
