Nicasio Has Returned Home After Surgery

Stay connected for news and updates

Colorado Rockies rookie pitcher Juan Nicasio has been discharged from the hospital and is resting comfortably at home, just days after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured vertebrae suffered against the Washington Nationals on August 5.

Nicasio has made steady improvement since the surgery, and now appears that he will not suffer any long term effects from the line drive that struck him on the base of the skull. It will be quite some time until we learn if he will ever pitch again, but for now Rockies’ fans are relieved to hear some good news about the young pitcher.
