San Diego State Vs. Northern Colorado Halftime Update: UNC Bears Hanging In There But Down, 30-24

Stay connected for news and updates

The No. 15 University of Northern Colorado Bears are staying competitive with the No. 2 San Diego St. Aztecs, though losing, 30-24, at halftime. This being the Bears' first game, the first half is definitely a positive in the books. San Diego State, meanwhile, will need to hold on for its first NCAA Tournament win. They are 0-6 all-time in the tournament.

UNC's star guard, Devon Beitzel, has eight points, while Chris Kaba has five points and five rebounds. For the Aztecs, Kawhi Leonard scored 10 points and pulled down six boards in the first half. Billy White has added eight points and grabbed five rebounds, but D.J. Gay has yet to score any points and has attempted only two shots (both threes).

Neither team is shooting too well, the Bears at 35.7 percent and the Aztecs at 32.4 percent.

While Morehead State over Louisville is the biggest upset so far on the first day of the second round, a UNC upset over San Diego State would be even wilder than the earlier shocker.
