Don't count on rookie Alec Burks picking up big minutes early on in his rookie NBA season. Utah Jazz head coach Ty Corbin sees a rookie who needs time to develop:
Constantly asked about Alec Burks. Corbin: "He's learning to play at a different level and he's got to do it a little more consistently."

For now, Burks is going to sit behind Raja Bell. Bell has averaged 22 minutes and averaged four points to start the season. Burks has only picked up 16 minutes off the bench, but he did well in garbage time against the Denver Nuggets, scoring 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
If the Jazz struggle like they did against the Nuggets long enough into the season, Burks would hopefully pick up some more meaningful playing time.
