There was no shakeup this week at the top of the AP Top 25 Basketball Poll. The Syracuse Orange remain as the No. 1 team after taking down the N.C. State Wolfpack on Saturday. The rest of the top seven teams remained unchanged. The first movement came at No. 8, where the Xavier Musketeers dropped to No. 14 after dropping a game to Oral Roberts, 64-42 -- suspensions and all.
The Marquette Golden Eagles benefited from this by moving up one spot to No. 10. The Golden Eagles defeated the Northern Colorado Bears on Saturday, 93-72. They are now 10-0 on the season, one of seven ranked teams still undefeated this season.
The Pac-12 has once again been shut out of the rankings, but the Stanford Cardinal did receive enough votes to be considered the No. 28 team this week. The California Golden Bears received five votes.
In the Mountain West, UNLV reentered the poll one week after dropping from it. San Diego State received 67 points to be the No. 27 team.
