Montana State Vs. Sam Houston State Score: Bearkats Take 14-6 Lead After Brian Bell TD Run

Stay connected for news and updates

The Sam Houston State Bearkats are showing why they are the No. 1 seed in the 2011 FCS Playoffs. After having their lead cut to 7-6 by the Montana State Bobcats, quarterback Brian Bell took control of his Bearkats offense and led the team to touchdown and the 14-6 lead.

Bell threw and incompletion on his first pass, but then picked up the first down on two plays later. However, the drive looked about dead on 3rd-and-5 when the Bearkats took its final timeout. Once play was about to resume, Montana State took its second timeout. It didn't help them, as Bell broke off a 54-yard for a touchdown. He had excellent blocking as well as a missed tackle by a Bobcats defender.

The Bobcats are still in this game, but they can't settle for field goals from now on. End zone or bust.
