The Denver Pioneers rebounded from a recent loss to No. 18 California by topping Utah State, 67-54, on Wednesday at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Denver was led by starting forwards Rob Lewis and Chris Udofia , who each scored 15 points. Brian Stafford (12 points) and Chase Hallam (11 points) combined to hit five three-pointers. Nine players scored for the Pioneers.
Denver's win caught the attention of ESPN reporter Andy Katz.
Utah was led by Preston Medlin, who finished with 13 points and four rebounds. Brockeith Pane had 12 points and Morgan Grim had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Aggies in the win.
Denver held major advantages in three-pointers made (8-2), assists (16-6) and shooting percentage (52.1%-46.3%).
Denver's largest lead of the game was 20 points.
