The Kentucky Wildcats are also No. 1 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll for Week 4 of the season. They received 22 of 31 first-place votes, eight going to the No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes and one to the No. 3 Syracuse Orange. The Duke Blue Devils and the previously No. 1 North Carolina Tar Heels round out the top five.
The UNLV Runnin' Rebels knocked off North Carolina to move to 7-0. The Coaches Poll awarded the Rebels by moving them from not ranked to No. 20 this week. They came in at No. 18 in the AP Poll. The San Diego St. Aztecs received 20 votes.
In the Pac-12, the California Golden Bears dropped from No. 18 to No. 23 after picking up their first loss of the season. Arizona finished at No. 28.
The St. Louis Billikens, 6-0, entered the poll at No. 25 after beating Boston College, Villanova and Oklahoma.
