Avalanche Vs. Canucks Recap: Vancouver Earns 3-0 Road Win In Denver

Stay connected for news and updates

The Colorado Avalanche generated plenty of scoring chances in the third period on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center, but Vancouver Canucks goalie Corey Schneider wasn't about to let any shots past him. Schneider's stellar play keyed a 3-0 win for the Canucks, who improve to 10-9-1 on the season.

The lone goal of the third period was a Vancouver empty netter from Ryan Kesler. It was Kesler's third score of the season.

The third period got a bit chippy. The Canucks earned three two-minutes penalties, and Colorado's Ryan Wilson also drew one for roughing.

The AP added this:

The victory was Vancouver's 10th in the past 12 meetings with Colorado, which fell to 1-2 in an eight-game run at the Pepsi Center that stands out as the longest continuous homestand in franchise history.

Vancouver out-shot the Avs 29-29 in the game.
