For a team like New Mexico, how much fun can football be at this point? They fell to 0-7 this season following a 69-0 loss to the TCU Horned Frogs. They were down 41-0 at halftime and then allowed 28 more points in the second half. The TCU offense picked up 264 rushing yards and scored seven touchdowns. It's just not very good football out there by the Lobos.
The Horned Frogs, though, moved to 5-2 and have a meeting with the BYU Cougars on Friday.
In other Mountain West action, the Colorado St. Rams saw the lights go out in El Paso, Texas, at halftime and then lost, 31-17. Air Force did lose to the Boise St. Broncos, 37-26, but it was nowhere the blowout the odds makers expected it to be. But Kellen Moore knows how to win and he kept scoring to counter-balance Tim Jefferson and Falcons' run-option attack.
