Texas Rangers at St. Louis Cardinals, 6:05 p.m., Fox:
The Cardinals struck first blood last night in St. Louis with a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. A pinch-hitting Allen Craig drove in the go-ahead RBI in sixth inning and the Cardinal bullpen was able to keep the Texas bats at bay. Tonight, St. Louis sends Jaime Garcia to the mound to take on Colby Lewis.

Chicago Blackhawks at Colorado Avalanche, 7:00 p.m., Altitude:
The Avalanche are tied with three other teams for the most points in the league despite not yet having a victory on home ice. Tonight, the Blackhawks come to town as the Avs play only their second home game of the 2011-12 season.

UCLA Bruins at Arizona Wildcats, 7:00 p.m., ESPN:
The first game of the post-Mike Stoops era in Tucson takes place tonight as the Wildcats welcome the Bruins to town. Arizona is hoping to get their first Pac-12 win of the season while UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel tries to stay off the hot seat.
