George Karl To Persuade Melo To Stay In Denver
While George Karl has yet to talk with Carmelo Anthony about his future with the team, the head coach of the Nuggets does have a message to deliver to his star player at some point. Speaking to the Denver Post during Broncos practice, Karl gave an idea on what he’ll tell Melo soon:
“[…]. I think we kind of need to stay together, in my opinion. It’s pretty easy: Stay together and figure it out. Right now, I don’t think Melo is going to be calling me for advice. Fortunately, it’s not my job to probably call him to talk about that situation. My job is to talk about basketball.”
The article also hints that the Nuggets’ media day on Sept. 27 could have Melo discuss his future in Denver at length.
