Aaron Cook was placed on the DL with a sprained right big toe, and the Rockies called infielder Chris Nelson up for a couple of days until a pitcher is needed to take Cook’s spot in the rotation.
While it looked like Jhoulys Chacin would pitch Sunday in place of Cook, Chacin threw in a Sky Sox game last night. Troy Renck now tweets that Esmil Rogers is the likely candidate.
