Avalanche Sign Yip To New Contract

The Denver Post's Adrian Dater reports that the Colorado Avalanche have re-signed RW Brandon Yip to a two-year contract worth $1.45 million.

Yip, 25, was an eighth round pick by the Avalanche in the 2004 Draft and one of the keys to their surprising 2009 season. He played in 32 games for Colorado and scoring 11 goals in his first season of NHL action.
