Jeff Larentowicz Selected As MLS All Star Game Backup

Bruce Arena selected Rapids defensive midfielder Jeff Lerentowicz as a back-up for the MLS All-Star Roster on July 19th in a not-at-all lavish announcement on MLS.com.

Jeff has quietly been putting together a heck of a season as one of the foundations of the solid 2010 Rapids defense, along with netting a goal and an assist for himself. Considering the number of Galaxy players that coach Arena will probably be withholding minutes from in this All Star Game, there's a very good chance that Jeff will be seeing some decent playing time as well.
