Denver Stiffs Reviews Melo's 09-10 season

Nate Timmons of Denver Stiffs examines Melo’s past season and what to expect in his 10-11 campaign:

Melo is the franchise right now and he needs help. The Nuggets were sinking before Melo came aboard and the team is still trying to find the right combination to surround their star … will Denver find that combo before it’s too late? One thing we can be sure of … nothing will stop Melo from trying.

No doubt that Melo is the franchise right now, but he also needs to be the franchise for several years down the road. A Nuggets team without Melo would be a frightening experience and a regression to the pre-Melo years when the team spent high draft pick after high draft pick with out much success.
