Denver Broncos Add Diyral Briggs, Place Matt Willis On Injured Reserve

Stay connected for news and updates

Denver Broncos wide receiver Matt Willis broke his foot on Sunday against the New York Jets and was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. The Broncos signed linebacker Diyral Briggs from the team's practice squad to fill the roster spot:

Briggs is a second-year player who spent last season with San Francisco, the club that originally signed him as college free agent. He played in four games with the 49ers last year and totaled four special-teams tackles. He also played in the club’s opener against Seattle this season.

Wide receiver Eron Riley was signed to the practice squad to fill that missing slot.
